Welcome to our 2023 Boys Youth Regular Season Registration Page. From this page, you can complete the registration process. We have provided step-by-step information along the way.

This registration is specific to  levels BOYS U6-U14. If you're attempting to register someone who doesn't meet this criteria, please navigate back to the home page and select the appropriate registration option. 

What You Should Know

• U10-U14 closes on 2/28/2023

• U6-U8 closes on 5/1/2023

Step #1: Determine Program Options and Age Eligibility

Before you register, please determine which age group your son is eligible for. If you have any questions about age eligibility and levels, please contact the Boys Youth Director found below. 

• 14U Age Group: According to U.S. Lacrosse, these are players born between September 1, 2008 to August 31, 2010. These players are typically in 7th-8th grade. Program starts in May and runs through July.
• 12U Age Group: According to U.S. Lacrosse, these are players born between September 1, 2010 to August 31, 2012. These players are typically in 5th-6th grade. Program starts in May and runs through July.
• 10U Age Group: According to U.S. Lacrosse, these are players born between September 1, 2012 to August 31, 2014. These players are typically in 3rd-4th grade. Program starts in May and runs through July.
• 8U Age Group: According to U.S. Lacrosse, these are players born between September 1, 2014 to August 31st, 2016. These players are typically in 1st-2nd grade. Program starts in May and runs through July.
• 6U Age Group: According to U.S. Lacrosse, these are players born after September 1, 2016. These players are typically in Kindergarten or Pre-K. Program is primary run in June.

Steph #2: Register with U.S. Lacrosse 

U.S. Lacrosse is the insurance policy that our league (MSLax) enforces us to use. This provides great insurance coverage that protects the league, our association, and your players, in case of injury. All players and coaches in our programs must obtain a U.S. Lacrosse membership prior to registering. This membership is renewed annually.

Membership cost: $30

During the registration process, you will be asked to provide a variety of required information about yourself and your player. Please follow the prompts and enter the information as accurately as possible.

Program Cost

We want everyone to be able to play lacrosse. We’ve worked hard this year to reduce program costs as much as possible to give every boy an opportunity to play. The Mahtomedi Lacrosse Association is a non-profit organization. All program costs cover any administrative cost related to league play and tournaments. The cost for the season is calculated with an attempt to break even on the cost of fields, coaches, tournaments, leagues, refs, etc.
